The Medical Assistant (MA) participates in providing patient care at the appropriate skill level. They have a duty to provide a standard of care that meets or exceeds that of a reasonably competent and knowledgeable Medical Assistant. The MA performs duties within their scope of practice delegated by, and under the supervision of a provider or physician.
Duties include organizing the clinical environment and providing support in patient care situations. Primary Responsibilities:
- Performs all duties within the scope of a MA’s practice
- Operates diagnostic equipment, removes staples from superficial wounds, changes wound dressing and obtains cultures, administers non-intravenous medication, performs simple specimen collection via noninvasive techniques, collects blood specimens via venipuncture, and performs EKGs
- Performs quality control checks on equipment
- Prepares and sterilizes medical equipment using autoclave
- Rooms patients according to policy and procedures, prepares patient for examination
- Records patient care documentation in the medical record accurately and timely
- Coordinates patient care as directed by physicians, company standards, and policies
- Maintains patient confidentiality at all times and treats patients with courtesy and respect
- Organizes exam and treatment rooms, stocks and cleans rooms, and sterilizes equipment
- Practices standard infection control precautions
- Supports and follows Standard Delegation of orders (SDO)

Under the direction of the Provider, the Clinic Nurse provides direct patient care in accordance with Company protocols, established standards of nursing practice, and the FL Nurse Practice Act. Promptly screens patients with signs or symptoms of illness. Works with the clinical team for appropriate treatment, plan of care and disposition. Ensures patient monitoring and follow up. The Clinic Nurse reports to the Center Administrator.
Primary Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for assisting the Patient Access Leadership in managing daily operations within the assigned client Facility or within the Patient Access Operations. Supplements staff training, coaching and support; issue identification, assessment, and resolution; and technical support within the assigned work environment to achieve desired outcomes and compliance with Optum and client policies / procedures and standards. Provides input in hiring / firing decisions, as well as performance appraisals. May perform quality reviews and analysis to support internal controls, monitor employee performance and assist in staff development, retention, and selection. Serves as relief support and a “super user” for new programs, processes, and technologies. Works on – call schedule, as required.
This position is full time, Monday – Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work our normal business hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Primary Responsibilities:
